Karachi (Web Desk): An accountability court on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Sindh Assembly Speaker and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Agha Siraj Durrani's wife, son and daughters in a case regarding assets beyond means of income.
During today's proceedings, the court ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to speed up trail against Durrani.
The NAB investigating officer told the court, that Durrani’s front man and others were fugitives, while travel records showed Durrani’s family travelled to United States.
To which, the court in its remarks said that if the fugitives were not arrested, they would be excluded from the case.
The NAB investigating officer also submitted the report of 12 fugitives in the court, which named Mohammad Irfan, Syed Mohammad Shah, Gul Bahar, Lohar Baloch, Shakeel Ahmed Soomro, Ghulam Murtaza and Munawar Ali as accused.
The court ordered to block the identity cards of all accused, and adjourned the hearing till October 22.
Agha Siraj Durrani was arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) earlier this year in cases pertaining to illegal appointments, accumulating assets beyond means.
