Former COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa receives treatment at CMH after fall at residence: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa, was hospitalised after suffering injuries from a fall at his home, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.
According top the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the former army chief is currently receiving treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

A day earlier, family members had confirmed that Bajwa had been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) due to a head injury.

According to relatives, the accident took place early Tuesday morning around 4:30am, when he slipped in the bathroom of his residence.

General (retd) Bajwa served as Pakistan’s COAS from 2016 until his retirement on November 29, 2022.
