Karachi (Web Desk): The price of 24 karat gold saw a notable decline on Wednesday, dropping by Rs1,600 to settle at Rs301,500 per tola, a significant reduction, compared to the previous trading day when it had been valued at Rs303,100.
According to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold fell by Rs1,372, reaching Rs258,487, down from Rs259,859.
The 22 karat gold also experienced a drop, with the price for 10 grams slipping by Rs1,257, moving from Rs238,212 to Rs236,955.
In the silver market, prices remained steady with no change recorded.
The per tola price of silver held firm at Rs3,312, while the 10-gram rate remained at Rs2,839.
In the international market, gold prices saw a slight dip of $16, adjusting from $2,904 to $2,888 per ounce.
This decrease in both local and global gold prices reflects the ongoing fluctuations within the precious metals market.
