Lahore (Web Desk): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday telephoned former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and inquired about his health.
According to details, the two leaders also discussed overall political situation of the country.
During the conversation, Asif Ali Zardari assured Maulana Fazlur Rehman of PPP’s support in the no-confidence motion against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said said that he would soon contact the government's allies to make the no-confidence motion a success.
On Friday, anti-government alliance Pakistan Democratic Movemen (PDM) announced to bring no-confidence motion against the PTI government.
Addressing a press conference along with opposition leader in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that they will also contact allies parties of the government to table no-trust motion and teams have also been formed to contact coalition partners, while homework to bring the motion has been completed.
