“Freedom isn't free, it costs sons of soil”, COAS Bajwa

Islamabad (Web Desk): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday strongly condemned terrorist attack on a vehicle of the Pakistan Army in North Waziristan, said a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s public relations wing.

COAS Bajwa said while paying tribute to martyrs, "Freedom isn’t free, it costs sons of the soil. Freedom that we enjoy today is owed to so many such brave hearts. Salute to our Martyrs."

Minister for Defence Khurram Dastgir has also denounced the attack.

Earlier today, at least two officers embraced martyrdom in a terror attack on army vehicle in North Waziristan.

According to ISPR, Second Lieutenant Abdul Moeed and Sepoy Basharat were martyred after terrorists fired on their vehicle from the surrounding mountains. 

21 years old Lt Abdul Moeed, who recently passed out from Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), is a resident of Burewala, Vehari whereas Sepoy Basharat, 21 years old with three years military service, belongs to village Danyor in Gilgit.
