Donald Trump claims US has 'total control' over Strait of Hormuz

Washington (Web Desk/Agencies): US President Donald Trump has asserted that Washington currently holds control of the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, according to international media outlet Reuters.

In a post shared on Truth Social, Trump said the United States had complete command of the vital waterway and indicated that he intended to maintain that position.

“The US has total control over the Strait of Hormuz. I think we will keep it!” he writes on Truth Social. “Our Naval Blockade is being called, by everyone, a wall of steel, and there is nothing Iran can do about it.”

Trump’s remarks come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran over the strategic maritime passage, which serves as a major route for global energy shipments.
