Govt announces local holiday in twin cities on August 13

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): After the federal capital Islamabad, a local holiday has now been declared in Rawalpindi as well for Wednesday (tomorrow).

Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi, Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema, issued the official notification stating that the holiday will apply to all provincial government offices and departments.

Earlier, in connection with Independence Day celebrations, a local holiday was also announced in Islamabad for August 13. All schools, colleges, universities, private businesses, and offices within the Islamabad Capital Territory will remain closed.

The Islamabad administration has already issued a formal notification for the local holiday on August 13.
