Washington (Web Desk): Prominent American conservative commentator and political analyst Charlie Kirk has reportedly been killed in an assassination attempt. U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed his death, remarking that no one understood the thoughts of the nation’s youth better than Kirk.

Kirk had been rushed to a hospital in critical condition after a shooting incident at Utah Valley University. Despite undergoing surgery, he succumbed to his injuries.

The attack took place while he was delivering a speech on transgender issues.

President Trump announced that flags on all federal buildings across the United States will be flown at half-mast until Sunday as a tribute to Kirk’s memory.

So far, the assailant has not been apprehended, and police investigations into the incident remain underway.

Kirk was well known for his outspoken views in politics, frequently criticizing the Ukrainian government and voicing opposition to military aid for Kyiv. He was also a staunch advocate for restoring diplomatic relations with Russia.
