Lahore (Staff Report/Agencies): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday said that the delay in removing Nawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) is posing serious danger to former PM’s life.
“PML-N supremo’s doctors have warned that repeated dosage of high potency steroids to stabilise his platelets for travel are an added risk to his life,” Aurangzeb said.
Earlier, Nawaz Sharif’s departure from the country has been delayed as the former premier’s name premier is yet to be removed from the Exit Control List (ECL).
According to sources, the PML-N supremo was set to depart for London via Doha on Monday.
Sharif’s family approached the Ministry of Interior to remove the name of former premier from the ECL.
Last week, PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz said that Nawaz Sharif must go abroad for his treatment at the earliest.
Speaking to the media after her appearance in accountability court in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, the former premier’s daughter stated that Nawaz Sharif’s health is very critical and the former premier must travel to wherever he can get the treatment.
Nawaz Sharif was discharged from Lahore’s Services Hospital and moved to his residence at Jati Umra in an ambulance. The former premier was under treatment at the Services Hospital for last 16 days.
