Egypt lauds Pakistan's mediation efforts

Islamabad (Web Desk): Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has commended Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and mediation in the region.

The remarks came during a telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and his Egyptian counterpart on Wednesday.

During the discussion, the two leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and underscored the need for sustained diplomatic engagement and dialogue to address ongoing challenges.

Both ministers expressed optimism that current diplomatic initiatives would help achieve an early understanding among the concerned parties, paving the way for durable peace and stability across the region.

During the conversation, Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty also invited Ishaq Dar to participate in the upcoming meeting of the Regional Four (R-4) Foreign Ministers, scheduled to take place in Egypt later this month.

The Deputy Prime Minister accepted the invitation, and both sides agreed to maintain close coordination and regular communication in the days ahead.
