Majority supports Pakistan's mediation efforts in US-Iran crisis, snap Gallop survey reveals

Islamabad (Web Desk): Gallup Pakistan has released a new public opinion survey showing strong support among Pakistanis for peace initiatives and government efforts aimed at resolving global conflicts.

According to the survey, 93 percent of Pakistanis strongly support all diplomatic efforts being made for ceasefire agreements. Meanwhile, 80 percent of respondents expressed hope that these initiatives will lead to long-term and sustainable peace in the region.

The survey also found that 88 percent of citizens want Pakistan to play an active mediator role in international conflicts.

Furthermore, 72 percent of participants fully support the government’s recent mediation efforts, believing that Pakistan’s neutral diplomacy is enhancing the country’s global reputation.

In addition, 44 percent of respondents believe that recent ceasefire agreements have significantly improved the chances of lasting peace in the future.

The survey highlights that a large majority of Pakistanis prefer dialogue and reconciliation over conflict and see Pakistan as a key diplomatic player on the global stage.

It also reflects a strong public desire for peace, stability, and the resolution of disputes through negotiations rather than violence.
