PM, UAE president discuss bilateral ties, stress efforts for Palestine peace

Abu Dhabi (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, to explore opportunities for strengthening the relationship between Pakistan and the UAE.

The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where the Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by the UAE leader.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir was also present in the meeting.

The two leaders focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including economic, trade, and development initiatives, all of which are aligned with their shared goals for long-term sustainable growth.

The conversation also highlighted the importance of governance trends identified at the World Governments Summit (WGS), aiming to improve government responses to global shifts and transformations.

In addition to these topics, the two leaders addressed several regional and international matters of common concern, particularly the ongoing issues in the Middle East.

 They underscored the urgent need for global efforts to achieve lasting peace in Palestine, advocating for a two-state solution as essential for ensuring security and stability in the region.

This discussion marks a notable step in the ongoing relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, signaling potential for further collaboration in areas that could benefit both nations and contribute to broader regional stability.
