Second phase of Hajj applications under gov’t scheme begins

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has initiated the second phase of application collection for the Government Hajj Scheme 2026.

According to Ministry’s Spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, interested individuals can now submit their Hajj applications either through the ministry’s official online platform or by visiting selected banks. This phase will remain open until August 16, unless the allotted quota is reached earlier.

Butt clarified that this phase is also open to those who have not previously registered for the pilgrimage.

Additionally, overseas Pakistanis are eligible to participate in the scheme by having a close relative based in Pakistan apply on their behalf through any of the designated bank branches.

However, expatriate applicants will be required to present valid medical fitness certificates upon arriving in Pakistan.

The spokesperson emphasized that once the designated quota is filled, the application process will be closed, regardless of the official deadline.

Applicants are therefore encouraged to complete the submission process, including the initial deposit of Hajj expenses, as early as possible to secure their place.
