Peshawar (Web Desk): Maulana Khan Zeb, a leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), was shot dead in Khar, Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by unidentified gunmen.
According to police reports, Maulana Khan Zeb came under fire while traveling with colleagues. He sustained critical injuries and later succumbed to them during medical treatment. One of his companions also died on the spot, while three others were injured in the attack.
Maulana Khan Zeb was reportedly involved in organizing an upcoming peace march when his vehicle was targeted by unknown assailants.
In response to the killing, the ANP has announced three days of mourning. Senior ANP leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain stated that all party activities will remain suspended during the mourning period.
