Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has voiced opposition to Israeli control over the West Bank, stressing that stability in the area is essential for Israel’s long-term security.

According to a White House official, Trump believes that establishing stability in the Palestinian territories aligns closely with Washington’s broader objective of promoting peace in the region.

The official said the Trump administration considers stability in the West Bank a critical factor in the success of its Middle East peace efforts and views it as a necessary foundation for reducing tensions and preventing further escalation.

Meanwhile, the British government has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli cabinet’s decision to expand its hold over the West Bank. London warned that any unilateral attempt to alter the geographical character of the Palestinian territories would amount to a violation of international law, and urged Israel to immediately reverse such decisions.

Similarly, Pakistan and eight other Muslim-majority countries have strongly criticized Israel’s actions in the West Bank, calling on the international community to take urgent steps to prevent what they described as dangerous measures.

In a joint statement, the Muslim countries said Israel has no legitimate claim over the occupied Palestinian territories, warning that its current actions are accelerating efforts toward the illegal annexation of the West Bank.
