19 countries, including Saudi Arabia condemn Israel’s West Bank annexation plans

Riyadh (Web Desk): Saudi Arabia, together with 18 other countries, has issued a firm condemnation of Israel’s recent decision to annex parts of the West Bank, calling the move a “serious violation” with far-reaching consequences.

The statement, released as a joint declaration, criticized Israel’s attempts to declare Palestinian lands as part of its sovereign territory, labeling these actions as illegal and destabilizing for the region.

The declaration emphasized that the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have also strongly opposed the move.

The 19 countries jointly stressed that Israel’s illegal settlement expansion has accelerated in recent months, and measures are being implemented to further consolidate control over the occupied Palestinian territories.

The statement warned that such actions undermine international law, threaten peace efforts, and escalate tensions in the Middle East. It urged the international community to intervene and uphold Palestinian rights while discouraging unilateral moves that could provoke further conflict.

Countries included in the joint statement are Saudi Arabia, Brazil, France, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Egypt, Jordan, Luxembourg, Norway, Palestine, Portugal, Qatar, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey.

This coordinated condemnation reflects growing international concern over Israel’s settlement policies and signals strong diplomatic opposition to unilateral annexation efforts that could destabilize the region further.
