Quetta (Web Desk): At least one person was killed and seven others injured in an explosion in a market in Balochistan's Awaran district.
According to initial reports, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a shop exploded and killed Nasir Ali, the shopkeeper A woman and a child were also among the injured.
The injured were moved to the District Headquarters ( DHQ) Hospital for treatment. The area was cordoned off by security forces and an investigation in to the incident was launched.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, in a statement issued immediately after the blast, condemned the incident and extended condolences for the deceased.
He directed the authorities to provide the best medical treatment to the injured.
The chief minister added that innocent shoppers were targeted in the attack and they will be arrested and prosecuted as per the law.
