Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over 3.6 billion dollars sent by overseas Pakistanis in remittances in the month of July.
In a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday, Shehbaz Sharif said remittance inflows posted a 13 percent annual increase in July, calling the rise a positive and encouraging development for the national economy.
He also highlighted that remittances grew by 4.5 percent compared with the previous month, reflecting a continued upward trend in funds sent home by Pakistanis living abroad.
The prime minister praised overseas Pakistanis for their sustained role in supporting the country’s economic stability and growth, describing their contribution as highly valuable.
PM Shehbaz further said that Pakistanis residing abroad remained an important and inseparable component of the country’s economic mainstream.
