DPM Dar shares contours of 'Makkah Joint Defence Agreement' with Iranian FM Araghchi 

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday shared the contours of the recently signed Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

During a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, FM Dar explained the main objectives of the trilateral defence arrangement, highlighting its role in deepening strategic coordination and supporting peace and security across the region, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two sides also held discussions on important regional and global developments, particularly the changing dynamics in the region and ongoing diplomatic efforts to promote stability and peace.

Foreign Minister Araghchi thanked the DPM Dar for sharing the key aspects of the agreement.

The two foreign ministers agreed to continue maintaining close communication and coordination on issues of shared interest.
