Instagram introduces new feature

California (Web Desk): Instagram has introduced a new feature aimed at improving the user experience on its photo-sharing platform.

The Meta-owned app now allows users to edit their comments instead of deleting them if they make a mistake after posting.

According to the company, this editing option will only be available within 15 minutes of posting a comment. Users will be able to make changes during this limited time window.

Within this period, comments can be edited multiple times without any restrictions.

To use the feature, an “Edit” option will appear below the comment after it is posted. By tapping on it, users can easily modify their text.

Once a comment is edited, an “Edited” label will appear underneath it; however, other users will not be able to view the full edit history.

If a comment includes both text and images, only the text portion can be edited.

The company also confirmed that this feature will be available for comments on Instagram Reels in addition to regular posts.
