Acting President Gillini, PM Shehbaz condemn Quetta railway station blast

Islamabad (Web Desk): Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned the deadly blast at Quetta Railway Station on Saturday.

In their separate statements, the president and the premier expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of life in the attack.

According to a press release issued by the President Secretariat, the acting president condemned the attack.

Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani prayed for the eternal peace of the victims' souls and for the strength of the bereaved families to endure this unbearable loss.

The acting president said that terrorists were the enemies of humanity who targeted innocent people and reiterated the resolve of taking all possible measures to efface terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the attack, vowing that those responsible for the bombing would be made to pay a heavy price for their actions.

The premier reaffirmed the government and security forces' commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring the safety of citizens.

He also called for a comprehensive inquiry into the incident and requested a detailed report from the Balochistan government.

Both the president and the premier directed that injured victims receive immediate and comprehensive medical treatment.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned the suicide blast at Quetta Railway Station on Saturday, expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives.

In a statement, the interior minister extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack and offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.

Naqvi emphasized that the terrorists responsible for targeting innocent people are undeserving of any leniency, reiterating the government’s commitment to bringing them to justice.

“No amount of condemnation is enough” for such a heinous act, underscoring the need for national unity to overcome threats to the country’s stability,” the minister said.

Labeling the incident as a cowardly attempt to sow chaos, the interior minister assured the public that the nation would stand united to counter these malicious efforts.

“Together, we will thwart this despicable conspiracy against Pakistan,” Naqvi stated, reaffirming solidarity with the affected families during this difficult time.
