State of emergency could last 'much longer', says Israeli military chief

Tel Aviv (Web Desk): Israel’s military chief, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, has warned that the country’s state of emergency may continue for an extended period, as the conflict in the Middle East is far from over.

General Zamir stated that Israel has been under a state of emergency for the past two years, and citizens should remain patient and prepared for the prolonged situation. He also cautioned that any attacks by Hezbollah would come at a high cost.

He further revealed that overnight operations were conducted in Beirut targeting Iran’s Quds Force, emphasizing that no location is completely safe. General Zamir also referred to incidents of firing in northern regions and noted that two Israeli soldiers were killed in previous Hezbollah attacks.

The statements underscore the heightened alert and ongoing military operations in the region, reflecting Israel’s preparedness to respond to threats from both Hezbollah and Iranian-backed forces.
