Instagram rolls out profile customization feature

California (Web Desk): Instagram has introduced a long-awaited feature that gives users greater control over how their profiles appear.

The feature, first announced nearly a year ago by Instagram chief Adam Mosseri, is now being rolled out globally.

With the new update, users can rearrange posts on their profile grid according to their preferences rather than being restricted to chronological order.

A new “Reorder” option is now available in profile settings, allowing users to move posts to any position on their profile, regardless of when they were originally published.

This means older photos and posts can be placed at the top of a profile, making it easier to highlight important content.

Until now, Instagram profiles displayed posts in reverse chronological order, with the most recent uploads appearing first. The new feature changes that by giving users the flexibility to customize the layout of their profiles.

According to Instagram, the feature was one of the most requested by users and was designed to help people better showcase their content and personalize their profiles.
