PM Shehbaz expresses satisfaction over record high remittances in 2024-25

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the historic rise in remittances received during the fiscal year 2024-25, reaffirming the government's commitment to fostering economic growth following the restoration of financial stability.

According to a statement issued by the PM Office Media Wing, overseas Pakistanis sent a total of $38.3 billion in remittances during the fiscal year, marking an increase of $8 billion compared to the 2023-24 period. This represents a 26.6% growth year-on-year.

The prime minister acknowledged this development as a clear indicator of the trust overseas Pakistanis place in the country’s economy and highlighted their significant role in supporting Pakistan’s financial strength.

He further stated that the recent positive trends in key economic indicators demonstrate that the country’s economic policies are on the right track.
