Islamabad (Staff Report): The Foreign Office of Pakistan on Wednesday has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on Iranian parliament and the mausoleum of Ruhollah Khomeini that killed 12 people, said in a statement released by Foreign Office.
Foreign office Spokesperson said in the statement, “We stand in solidarity with the people of Iran in their hour of grief.”
Pakistan expressed its condolences to the grieving families of those affected, the Iranian government and the people.
Earlier on Wednesday, attackers raided Iran’s parliament and opened fire at the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini a few kilometers south of the capital, in near simultaneous assaults that killed up to twelve people.
The Islamic State group has claimed the attacks in parliament and the shrine, the Amaq propaganda agency said.
