Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Director General Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar on Monday said that Pakistan Army should not be dragged into politics as it has nothing to do with it.
Major General Babar Iftikhar said that the military leadership is not in contact with any political party through backdoor channels.
The military spokesperson said it is inappropriate to comment on political matters and linking it to the army without any evidence or research.
"If there is any evidence in this regard then bring it forward otherwise such speculations must come to an end now," he said.
Responding to a question regarding the missing climbers on K2, the DG ISPR said Ali Sadpara is the hero of the nation, and no shortfall in the search operation of the climbers would be allowed.
DG ISPR also expressed gratitude towards the Chinese Army for donating the Covid-19 vaccine to the Pakistani Armed Forces.
Earlier, the ISPR stated that China has donated COVID-19 vaccine for Pakistan's Armed Force.
According to the military's media wing, it has been decided to contribute complete Chinese vaccine donation in the National vaccine drive to be administered to front line healthcare workers across Pakistan who are real heroes fighting against pandemic and saving precious lives.
This is keeping with the armed forces' traditional spirit of 'nation comes first, always and every time'.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan military is the first foreign military to receive vaccine assistance from China.
