California (Web Desk): WhatsApp is testing two new features in its beta version, designed to make the messaging app more convenient and user-friendly.
The first feature involves AI editing tools for status updates. In the beta version for Android devices, users will be able to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to edit images. These tools will replace the current filter button, using Meta’s AI-based technology. Users will be able to modify their status updates by editing images, adding objects, removing backgrounds, and even animating them.
The second feature is aimed at group chats, specifically for new members. After joining a group, new users will be able to view messages sent in the past 24 hours. This will help group admins, as they won’t need to manually send the group history. Group admins will be able to see this feature on the group permissions screen, and up to 1,000 messages can be shared from the last 24 hours.
Both features are being introduced to improve user convenience, and full availability is expected soon.
