Pakistan dispatches consignment of humanitarian aid to Gaza 

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian people on Friday as it sent off its 18th humanitarian aid shipment to Gaza.

The consignment, prepared under the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, departed from Islamabad International Airport in a ceremony overseen by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar.

Organized by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in partnership with various organizations, the aid package consists of essential supplies, including dry food rations, Meals Ready-to-Eat (MREs), and critical medical items.

The send-off event was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NDMA representatives, and the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan, underscoring the depth of bilateral ties and Pakistan’s continued humanitarian outreach.

With the latest shipment, Pakistan’s total aid to the besieged Gaza Strip has now reached 1,815 tons across 18 separate consignments—a testament to the country’s sustained efforts to support the people of Palestine during a time of severe hardship.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance on the Palestinian issue, calling for the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and viable Palestinian state within the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, in line with United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
