US-Iran ceasefire: World recognises Pakistan as trusted mediator, says Khawaja Asif

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan has achieved a major success on the international diplomatic stage, with global powers now recognizing the country as a trusted mediator, according to Federal Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif.

Speaking to the media outside the Parliament House, the minister congratulated the nation, stating that, “By the grace of Allah, Pakistan has successfully helped prevent a major global war.” He added that the world’s attention is now focused on Pakistan, marking a significant victory for the country’s foreign policy.

Khawaja Asif highlighted the importance of coordination between civil and military leadership, describing it as the foundation of Pakistan’s recent diplomatic achievements.

He noted that the hybrid model of civil-military cooperation has delivered extraordinary results over the past two to three years. “When the state’s powerful institutions work together, Pakistan can achieve the seemingly impossible on the global stage,” he said.

Addressing India, the minister claimed that Pakistan’s recent diplomatic victories have put Indian leadership on the back foot. He asserted, “Modi is now left with nothing, and the Indian media can only lament this success.

Pakistan has defeated an adversary five times its size, and India is still trying to restore its lost prestige.”

On Afghanistan, Khawaja Asif adopted a stern tone, warning that the country should respect Pakistan’s long-standing hospitality. He stated that if Afghanistan fails to fulfill its responsibilities, Pakistan will have no choice but to take decisive measures.

These remarks come amid Pakistan’s growing role in facilitating peace and stability in the region, showcasing its emerging diplomatic influence and strategic leverage in managing regional conflicts.
