Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty questioned over multi-crore fraud case

Mumbai (Web Desk): Mumbai Police’s Economic Offenses Wing has interrogated Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty for 4 to 5 hours in connection with a suspected financial fraud case involving crores of rupees.

According to Indian media reports, Shilpa Shetty is alleged to have been directly or indirectly involved in a fraudulent business scheme linked to her husband Raj Kundra. The scheme reportedly collected large sums of money from multiple investors but failed to materialize as promised, prompting the investors to approach the police.

Sources reveal that during questioning, Shilpa Shetty was asked detailed questions about her financial dealings, company transactions, and investment agreements.

The police have recorded her statement, and it is expected that Raj Kundra may also be called in again for further investigation to shed light on crucial aspects of the case.

This is not the first controversy surrounding Raj Kundra, who was previously arrested in a case related to online adult content and faced prolonged legal proceedings.

Currently, the Mumbai Police are continuing their probe, and no decision has yet been made on whether direct legal action will be taken against Shilpa Shetty.
