Police warn of action over protests in Islamabad without permission

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Islamabad police on Monday warned of action against those holding a protest in the city without permission of the federal capital's administration.

In a tweet, police requested all political parties to stage protests only at designated locations with the administration's permission.

The police also told the people to call 15 to check the conditions of the routes as the political leaders have announced the closure of routes.

As per the police spokesperson, of Islamabad police, routes will remain open for national and international travellers coming from Islamabad International Airport, He said that the federal law enforcement agencies will monitor routes to the airport and highways.

It is pertinent to mention that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters launched countrywide protests after party chief and former premier Imran Khan was injured in a gun attack during his long march in Wazirabad on November 3.

The protesters also clashed with the police in several cities including Karachi , Lahore, Rawalpindi and Peshawar.
