1st T20: Pakistan defeat Sri Lanka by 6 wickets

Dambulla (Web Desk): Pakistan won the first match of the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka by 6 wickets.

Sri Lanka, batting first, set a target of 129 runs for Pakistan, which the Green Shirts achieved in 16.4 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process.

Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan played a brilliant knock of 51 runs off 36 balls, including one six and six fours. Alongside him, Saim Ayub made 25, Salman Ali Agha scored 16, and Fakhar Zaman contributed 5 runs before being dismissed.

Earlier, Sri Lanka was all out for 128 runs in 19.2 overs. Janith Liyanage was the top scorer for Sri Lanka with 40 runs.

Pakistan's bowling attack was led by Salman Mirza and Abrar Ahmed, who claimed 3 wickets each, while Mohammad Wasim and Shadab Khan took 2 wickets each.
