Asia Cup 2023: Bangladesh bat first against Pakistan

Lahore: Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first against Pakistan in the first match of Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2023 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday. 

The first match of super four stage started today at 2.30 PM. 

The Green Shirts are playing any match at Lahore ground for the first time in the 39-year history of Asia Cup.

For today's match, bowling all-rounder Faheem Ashraf has replaced Mohammad Nawaz in the playing XI. The rest of the playing team remains the same as in the last match.

The Pakistan team led by skipper Babar Azam, are playing their third game of the tournament and second to take place in Pakistan.

Pakistan squad: Babar Azam (c), Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Agha Salman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf.

Bangladesh squad: Mohammad Naim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Litton Das, Towhid Hridoy, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Shamim Hossain, Afif Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud.
