Trump revisits Pakistan-India conflict, claims ‘8 planes were shot down

Miami (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump once again clarified the number of aircraft shot down during the India-Pakistan conflict, stating that in reality, eight aircraft were downed, contrary to some media reports which mentioned either seven or eight.

Addressing the Miami Business Forum, Trump said there had been conflicting reports in various newspapers, with one newspaper claiming seven aircraft were downed and another suggesting only one aircraft had been damaged. He dismissed these media reports as largely false and unverified.

Trump further explained, "In reality, eight aircraft were downed during the India-Pakistan conflict," and emphasized that the war between the two nuclear powers was averted through American efforts, particularly by using tariffs as a diplomatic tool.

During the event, Trump also commented on the election of Zuhair Mamdani as the new mayor of New York, stating that New Yorkers had "lost their sovereignty" by electing a left-wing figure. He criticized Mamdani's communist background, remarking that the city now had a mayor with such ideologies, and expressed curiosity about the actions Mamdani would take. Trump added, "We want New York to succeed, but we will also see what Mamdani's actions mean for the city."
