Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday congratulated the president-elect of the United States (US) Donald Trump on his “historic” victory for a second term.
“Congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump on his historic victory for a second term,” the premier wrote on his X timeline.
PM Shehbaz said that he looked forward to working closely with the incoming Administration to further strengthen and broaden the Pakistan-U.S. partnership.
Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari offered his warm congratulations to US President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance on their victory in the presidential election.
Describing the victory as a "resounding" endorsement for Trump and his allies, Bhutto Zardari conveyed optimism for a more peaceful global landscape.
"The people of America have given him and his team a resounding victory," Bilawal wrote, tagging prominent figures like Elon Musk, J.D. Vance, Robert Kennedy Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard.
The PPP chairman highlighted the win as an "anti-war mandate" and expressed hopes that Trump’s administration would prioritise peace and work to reduce international conflicts.
