Peshawar (Staff Report): At least two policemen were shot dead when unidentified assailants opened fire at a temporary check-post near Malakand agency on Monday.
According to police, two locals were walking at a distance when asked by the police to stop, upon which they shot the security officials in the head.
Hawaldar Farhad, 25, and Sepoy Nawaz, 33, were succumbed to their wounds on the way to the hospital.
Police launched a search operation in the surrounding area to track down the assailants.
