Ground invasion would be 'disaster' for American forces, says Iranian FM Araghchi

Tehran (Web Desk): Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran is preparing for a possible US ground assault and is not seeking a ceasefire at this time. He warned that any US ground operation could prove disastrous for American forces.

Araghchi clarified that Iran has not closed the Strait of Hormuz; rather, ships are voluntarily avoiding passage through the waterway.

He emphasized that while Iran is considering all options if the conflict continues, there have been no direct contacts or nuclear negotiation channels opened with the United States.

Additionally, Araghchi noted that since last week, there has been no communication with US officials, including Steve Biegun or Jared Kushner, highlighting Tehran’s hardline stance amid escalating tensions.

This statement underscores the growing friction between Iran and the US, with the region facing increasing risks of further escalation.
