Dubai (Web Desk): United Arab Emirate (UAE) Health Ministry has issued a notice banning handwritten medical prescription of private doctors.
The UAE Health Ministry banned private medical facilities from issuing handwritten prescription and ordered to ensure the electronic or printed version within the six months.
The order is possibly issued due to the reason that prescriptions with illegible handwriting may lead to supplying incorrect medication or incorrect doses.
The order is addressed to the medical districts’ directors, private medical practitioners, managers of public and private medical facilities and private pharmacies.
