Lahore (Staff Report): The weather turned pleasant as various cities of Punjab including Lahore, Gujrat, Faisalabad received rainfall on Thursday.
Different parts of Lahore and surrounding areas received rain.
Met office had predicted that rain-thundershowers with gusty winds are likely to prevail in scattered parts of the country, during the next twelve hours.
Under monsoon spell rain and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat divisions, FATA, Upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next twelve hours.
However, rain-thundershowers is also expected at a few places of Sahiwal and Bahawalpur divisions. Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
According to synoptic situation, moderate monsoon currents are penetrating upper and eastern parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 24 hours.
