Lahore (Ibrahim Badees): Pakistan’s first International Hockey League has postponed due insufficient funds and security concerns.
According to details, at least 30 players from around the world were scheduled to participate in the league.
According to sources, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) could not get NOC from the departments concerned to organize the event. Lack of funds and poor infrastructure also caused delay in schedule events in March and April, they added.
Earlier, PHF had confirmed the participation of national senior team in four national tournament and Azlan Shah Cup during dates reserved for the league.
PHF said that the national team will participate in the Azlan Shah Cup in April after playing 4 national tournaments in Australia on March 20.
