Peace drive under ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fitna’ gains ground as terrorist group surrenders in Balochistan

Quetta (Web Desk): Security forces have recorded a notable success under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna in Balochistan after a group of well-known militants active in the area voluntarily surrendered and laid down their weapons.

The development follows sustained coordination between the security apparatus and Mir Aftab Bugti, brother of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, as part of broader efforts to bring calm and long-term stability to the province.

Sources said the group had been involved in terrorist activities as well as robberies, extortion, and other criminal acts before deciding to submit to the authority of the State of Pakistan.

The faction was led by Mirak Khan Chakrani, who surrendered along with 25 of his associates.

The group had previously been linked to repeated incidents of looting and coercion in the region.

During the surrender, the militants handed over a sizeable cache of weapons and ammunition to the authorities.

Mirak Khan Chakrani also announced his decision to align himself with the Chakrani Peace Force, expressing support for ongoing actions against extremist elements.

Officials believe the effective strategy pursued under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna is likely to encourage other militant and criminal groups in Balochistan to abandon violence and surrender before the state in the near future.
