Beijing (Web Desk): China has consistently emphasized the importance of Palestinian governance in any future resolution of the Gaza conflict, as expressed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian on Wednesday.
In his statement, Lin reaffirmed Beijing's strong opposition to the forced displacement of Gaza's population.
He further highlighted China's hope that the current ceasefire provides an opportunity for stakeholders to steer the Palestinian issue toward a lasting political solution, with the goal of achieving peace through a two-state solution that ensures both Palestinian sovereignty and security for Israel.
As per the recent media reports, US President Donald Trump proposed a controversial plan to assume control of the Gaza Strip, suggesting the relocation of Palestinians to neighbouring countries like Jordan and Egypt.
