Lahore (Staff Report/Agencies): An Accountability Court on Thursday indicted Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz in Ramzan Sugar Mills reference.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.
The court adjourned the case till August 27.
On February 14, the Lahore High Court (LHC) granted bail to Shehbaz in the Ashiana Iqbal Housing scheme and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases.
On Feb 18, the opposition leader was indicted in the Ashiana scheme case.
Last year, the anti-corruption watchdog filed a reference against the two alleging that the former chief minister of Punjab had misused his authority by using public funds for the construction of a bridge to facilitate the Ramzan mills, owned by his sons.
