Lahore (Staff Report): Pakistan’s Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq announced retirement from international Test cricket today (Thursday).
The last series he will play will be against the West Indies in April.
Misbah said while addressing a press conference in Lahore that it was a "personal decision" to retire and that it is "wrong" to pin responsibility for it on PCB.
Speculation regarding Misbah's retirement had been sparked by Pakistan's disastrous tours of Australia and New Zealand.
Earlier on Wednesday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan stated that West Indies test series will be the final test series for current skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and will retire after the series.
