Rawalpindi (Staff Report): Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) DG Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has said that no organised bases of any terrorist organisation in the country anymore.
“More than 50 per cent of Afghan territory is out of their control, which is also affecting Pakistan,” Asif Ghafoor told reporters on Thursday.
He said, “Operation Raddul Fasaad is ongoing while Operation Khyber 4 is in ground clearing phase”.
DG ISPR said that despite the emergent threats in Balochistan and Karachi, Bohra community’s Ashura commemorations – which saw 21,000 foreigner – and Muharram observations remained peaceful and credit goes to the entire nation. He further mentioned other small happenings in country, including the World XI tournament, Miranshah cricket match and an international hockey match.

“Despite the fact that we have four foreign agencies working against us and are facing both internal and external threats, we have managed to come a long way”, said Asif Ghafoor, “Show me a country which was facing such threats in 2008 and 2009 and is still not only is surviving but also thriving. There are no such countries because all countries who faced problems, similar to us, either collapsed or had to have foreign armies take control.”
