Trump defends military action, says attack prevented Iran from achieving nuclear capability

Washington (Web Desk): Addressing a roundtable conference, US President Donald Trump defended the military strikes against Iran, asserting that without US intervention, Iran would have acquired nuclear weapons within two weeks.

He claimed that the operations have successfully prevented Iran from achieving nuclear capability and have pushed the country back on this critical front.

President noted that Iran had withdrawn from the nuclear agreement four years ago, triggering a rapid succession of targeted actions against its leadership. He claimed that individuals aspiring to positions of power in Iran were eliminated during these strikes.

The US president further highlighted that US forces have effectively curtailed ongoing violence in Iran and that America holds a very strong position regarding the conflict, exceeding expectations on the battlefield.

Trump remarked, “When asked to rate our performance out of 10, I said 15.”

In addition, Trump asserted that US operations had successfully destroyed Iranian missiles and launchers. He accused Iran of targeting not only its regional neighbors but also its allies.

Trump criticized former President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, describing it as highly detrimental because it had granted Iran substantial concessions.
