Jamaat-e-Islami delegation calls on PM Shehbaz, receives in-camera briefing on regional situation

Islamabad (Web Desk): A delegation from Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), led by its chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday to discuss the ongoing regional developments.

During the meeting, the delegation was given an in-camera briefing on the current situation in Iran, the Middle East and Afghanistan.

The participants were also informed about Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach and initiatives in response to the evolving regional circumstances.

The delegation was apprised of the steps taken by Pakistan’s embassies in Iran and Gulf countries to assist and facilitate Pakistani nationals in view of the prevailing situation.

The JI delegation also included Liaqat Baloch, Mian Muhammad Aslam and Asif Luqman Qazi.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Azam Nazeer Tarar, Ahsan Iqbal, Attaullah Tarar and Rana Mubashir Iqbal, PM’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah, and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry were also present at the meeting.
