Beijing (Online): An unidentified man stabbed 11 children at a kindergarten in southern China on Wednesday, critically injured three.
Chinese media reported that the man stormed in the school at mid-afternoon located in the southern Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, claiming he was there to pick up his son.
The attacker allegedly climbed a wall to enter the facility.
Chinese police claimed to arrest the attacker and said that an investigation was underway into the matter.
According to Chinese media, three children were seriously injured and shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
The incident has forced authorities to increase security around schools and led to calls for more research into the root causes of such acts.
