Chitral (Staff Report): Over 14 people were killed today (Sunday) after avalanche cascades on Chitral`s area of Shershal.
According to details, over 30 houses remain buried under tonnes of snow and over 50 people are feared remaining buried under avalanche in Shoghor area of Shersaal, Karimabad.
Rescue sources fear that the death toll may rise. The rescue operation has not yet been started. Commandant Chitral Scout Nizamud din Shah said while speaking to media that eight bodies were taken out from the avalanches.
Army personnel are heading towards the spot for rescue operation and army will also provide helicopter for rescue services.
