Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday contacted President Asif Ali Zardari via telephone and inquired after his health.
The prime minster extended his best wishes for the president and prayed for his early recovery, saying that prayers of the entire nation were with President Asif Ali Zardari.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Friday called Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to inquire about health of President Asif Ali Zardari.
He conveyed his best wishes for the president’s swift and complete recovery.
The deputy premier also sent a bouquet of flowers to President Asif Ali Zardari as a gesture of goodwill.
On Wednesday President Zardari's personal physician, Dr Asim Hussain, confirmed that the president had tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement issued by the President House Press Wing, Dr Asim reassured the public that Zardari's condition was gradually improving, with a dedicated team of medical experts overseeing his treatment.
Due to the nature of the illness, President Zardari has been advised to remain in isolation as part of the treatment process. Dr Asim emphasized that the president was receiving the necessary medical attention to aid his recovery.
President Zardari, who had initially experienced health issues, was moved from Nawabshah to a private hospital in Karachi for more specialized care.
